Attn: FASCAR Modifieds for Red Eye 100 - Tires

All Modifieds that are running the Red Eye weekend Jan 5th will be allowed to run either the Hoosier grooved 650/450 combo or the F53 slicks. Both will be available for sale in the tire room. The mandatory tire for The World Series of Asphalt and 2013 FASCAR Modified season will be the Hoosier F53 slicks.

We hope everyone everyone racing or not will join us for the Red Eye 100 weekend. It kicks off Friday night with an after practice bon fire party which will include a BBQ dinner, ice cold beverages (beer, soda, water) and live entertainment. Should be a blast from the past and the future!

For the entire weekend schedule goto: http://newsmyrnaspeedway.org/?p=3634

FASCAR and New Smyrna Speedway would like to wish all of our KARNAC friends a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Tires

What are the super stock tires for nex year

Sorry for not clarifying. The FASCAR “Big Motor” Modifieds will be the only division switching to the F53 in 2013. All other divisions will be running the same tire as 2012. Thank you.

well maybe more big motor mods will come out running the slicks. looking at the results last year osw had 3 big motor mod races and had 3 cars at two races and 7 cars the 3rd race and nss had 6 races and averaged 5 cars. then they had the big race at the end of the year 38 cars . well if they dont have anymore show up then that they wont have to stock many f53 slicks.

Why don’t we take a poll and see what the drivers want? If I have a modified, and a super stock that means I have to buy two different sets of tires. Why don’t all divisions use slicks? Are we catering to one person?

James

Tires

why dont we all run the same tire? It does not matter to us which just that we all run the same whether it is a Big motor mod, emod, super stock, sportsman. If everyone is to be on 8inch tire then make it all the same

By the way if anyone needs F53 slicks for the Red-Eye weekend, I have 2 sets. One set is Brand new. (only have the length of pit road on them) and the other set about 12 laps. $750 for all 8.

Dd38, we go to slicks and your not supporting it? Wtf? I don’t understand?

For 1 race and I don’t have a car to run. If I did I would run it. Better than letting them sit until who knows when. When I get the car running and there is a race on slicks I’ll get more. Until then I can use the money to fix the engine. I’m not like you Tim where I can plop out 2-3 grand to fix it. Understand now?

Tim

All you do is start troulbe

Now I understand dd38. Thanks for the reply. Hope you get it fixed. James…I’ll do a poll on that and get back to you. Lol

So I guess if you have a e-mod and big motor mod you have to buy two diffrent styles of tires :aktion033:

Randy, As Dave Hester says on Storage Wars, “YUUUUP”.

Wow!!!

Tires, motors, pay,Hugs when you get to the track!!! What else can everyone bitch about!!! If you think youre going to make money racing you are confused better off getting a paper route. DD38 Last time your buddy that helps you said you werent buying anymore motors for rule changes said you already had 5 motors. Put one in and race or STFUP!!!

Never said I had 5 engines. I have 3. 2 are broke and the other one is not competative at NSS. The one I have that is broke (the best out of the 3) was competative a year or so ago is not now with them now running SB-2’s. My “buddy” tends to exagerate a little also. So you can STFUP too. Get your facts straight.

Let’s put 'em all on street radials!

just think if mods,e-mods,sportsman, trucks and s. stocks were on f53’s there would be a lot of take off’s helping those who can’t buy new tires to come race.

Tires

Track does not whant to help the drivers out . when we were on all the same tires 15 to 20 super stocks >James

There will be plenty of take off available for all the democrats that want handouts.

I can remember back in the late 80’s Desoto took the street stock class an put them on take offs . Which meant you where not allowed to buy sticker tires . It worked well so they put the cowboy cadillacs on them. It helped the late model drivers out because the support class was buying the tires. And the street stock and truck guys cause you paid a fraction of the price of a new set. But those days are long gone. It’s all about making that magic dollar these days for track owners because so many of them are in the tire and parts business now as well.
