OSW having 10 classes opening night

Just looked at the March 15th opening night scedule, 10 classes. Lets have a little fun and see who can guess the the time the last feature is over.

At least Midnight.

There all reg. races no long one I’m guessing 11 12 shit when I lived up north it use to by 1 am 130 before u got out

Victory lane has been moved off the track so that will save time and dont forget practice tonight

and they are running heats to

I’m really happy they are re-opening. I’m staying until the end, it doesn’t matter to me what time it is. I wait all week for the races, and don’t like it when the show is too small and is over too soon.

Too bad I don’t have a car to run there…I’d love to support their opening night.

I hate to say this… but… other than the actual ownership change, I haven’t really seen anything that takes OSW into a ‘new era’.

Same night, same divisions… what is different from the old formula that wasn’t working in the first place???

Yea I like to know whats happening with the classes not running under the nascar points what are they raceing for just payout and no points. They still have the purse listed on the osw website from last year.

pay out osw

what are the pays out would like to no and tire how much and fuel cost

You guys would Bitch itf they hung you with a new rope.
The guy is trying to put on his first race and learn a little and you want to pick him apart before he has his first show…ezz up!!

Don 62

Don’t get me wrong, I am glad the track is open but these are the same “bitches” we have had for several years. Too many classes and not enough cars. NOBODY wants to watch a three car feature.

pre show enduro at the CRASH A RAMA series at Orlando speedworld

CRASH A RAMA series MAY 4TH pre enduro 4 & 6cyl stock. Elvis will be there hope to see you too.

10 classes?! WAY TOO MANY! Honestly should only have like 4 good classes. Having all those classes divides the car count, fields will be too small and boring to watch. Also, the show would end WAY too late. I went to Hickory Motor Speedway once, they had 4 classes. 2 of which ran 50 lappers, AND they had a classic car meet before the races started…Races started at 7:00PM, We were in the truck heading home at 9:30PM! We saw awesome racing and good car counts. The new owner needs to get some input from some SUCCESSFUL short track owners/promoters. I believe he has potential, he’s just not too familiar with circle track racing.

If you want tobe home by 9 go to a movie this is a race track ware you go to see raceing and see your friends. I know my self I work the next day and still don’t care if i get out there till 2 am so lets just go race and have fun that is what this is anyway

Stock car racing is a spectator sport. iTS MEANT TO BE A SHOW FOR THE FANS. FANS DONT WANT TO HAVE TO WAIT TILL 12:00AM TO SEE THE MAIN EVENT.

iTS MEANT TO BE A SHOW FOR THE FANS

Yep, you are right. We are die-hards: we’ll watch antique Monte Carlos drive in circles until sun-up, but normal people are not as tolerant. They want a show that starts on time, runs for 2 -3 hours so they can get the kids in bed before they lose it.

Lets be honest here, what difference does it make if there are only 20 people in the grand stands?

Well, having 10 classes and ending at 2AM is not gunna increase that number, thats what we are trying to do right???

If you are only catering to the racers and the track can afford not to (keep) anyone in the grandstands than this will be fine. Personally I like shorter features with more cars.
I am not gonna rush out of work at 6 PM, sit in traffic and pay $15 to watch a 3 car bandolero race. I am a race fan, now look at it from a non race fans perspective looking for something different to do. Will they come back? My guess is no.

This will be Mr. Moya’s first circle track show (he comes from the drag world). He will experiment and learn what works. I don’t expect the 10 class concept will last long; we’ll see.
