So OSW closed the day of the show with beautiful skies overhead and did not use the easy excuse of the surface weeping.

The GM says on Facebook that it was out of his control. So let the conspiracy theories begin !

Could it be,

  1. County closed it due to termite infested boards on the bleachers ?
  2. County close it due to no business License ?
  3. No insurance ?
  4. NASCAR said NO since NSS is running Saturdays ?
  5. Feds secured area due to UFO crashing on property ?
  6. Protected species Gopher turtle hole found in infield ?
  7. No available parking due to drag strip parking overflow ?
  8. Binner said he could not make it tonight.
  9. Mods running at NSS same night caused scheduling conflict ?
  10. No cash on hand to cover purse since everybody will be using rain checks ?

County wanted
Inspections on bleachers
Helth Dpt wants newwater oprator
Blding dpt wants new plans with arc stamp
Fire dpt wants evac plan
Fire dpt wants to over see safty makes track go to county code (aint one)
Noise (grandfather rule)
Billy builds tower without permit.
The lakes need fence around them
the Orlando cops must be payed to work there
the Orlando cops cant work there
the Orlando cops may work there for $ lots per hr

If u take a leak on a tree at OSW a plane will take a pic and the county is on the way.

No cash and rain checks…They didn’t sell enough tickets in all those nights to make any difference.
All those people will fit in a short bus…(hope binbut has a ticket for the short bus)

Well maybe someone with political smarts needs to talk to the Orange County Resource Development Board.

It is organizations like that that can smoooooth over some government BS.

Oh, and the rain check thing…It’s about $3500 that we as drivers and owners all spent to get into the pits on the BIG race day that was cancelled. Not the fans of which there are virtually none.

Not to mention the $95 Nascar license that some of us bought to race at OSW.

I say it’s either the NASCRAP thing with Insurance. They don’t want 2 tracks that close to race on the same night or #2something to do with the funds. Did the Drag Strip run Saturday night? I know the insurance is good, but dump NASCRAP. They have hurt Friday/Saturday night racing all over and don’t care! At Richmond did anyone notice the empty seats last night? Again!?
I think it’s going to

#1 Take someone Male or Female, with a TON of money that they don’t care about losing that TON+ of money for at least 4-5 years that loves racing (like a James Finch kind of guy) or
#2 Take the same statement above and add BIG BALLS to it (figurtability of course).
