Hey Don, who are the members of your exclusive list of 12? I have a few ideas:
myself (trash talk, no. insightful and brilliant, yes)
Frasson
McKinley
Ocala Jim
Old Mrs. Jones
EZ2PASS (he is believed to be my twin, but I can say with certainty that he probably is not)

That is only 6![/QUOTE]How the hell did I make this list…?!
It’s a list of the people too smart to buy into Dons twisted re-write of his ‘great contribution’ to the sport that he thinks he has made.
If ruining at least 1/2 dozen series that did just fine before him, counts as ‘contributing’ then he did leave a lasting impression on the local racing scene.
Jimmy ur not on the list.
You were there in the pits with a car in florida.for years
Not a one track wonder.
Jim H ur not either. You a real stand up person
Any one that has invested in the sport isent even Rex sprint car owner and driver
118 Local drunk with a keyboard …Never had a car in florida but a expert on talking smack behind his keyboard…lol
Im sure you don’t miss the racing that I provided threw the years
The racing is so much better for you now.
Have a beer and burn the book.
For the 12 its the number of people that are on here that talk trash and have no impact on anything in racing. The # might be 14 or 16 they com and go so fast
If you stwere in the local 7/11 store with a flyer on your back you would have a better chance of selling a ticket than posting on here. No one at the store would call you names or tell you how you did it wrong. That would be face to face …not the carcrap way.
I still enjoy reading the stupid stuff on here.

I have to respectfully disagree with you here Don. Any track promoter that is not utilizing the FREE KARNAC site is throwing money away 3 ways. First-as I said the advertising is free, second-by not posting events you will get less fans, thrid-by not posting events you will get less competitors. KARNAC is probably the number one tool to reach all racers and racefans in Florida. To not use it because you have a thin skin is rediculous. You should know better than anybody, if you’re gonna be a track promoter you better have a thick skin! Besides if you are on here or not they are going to post about you and your track anyway. The smart promoters just ignore the idiots throwing the pot shots. I’ll give you an example. Showtime is having a double header Sportsman 2 weekend show. $800 to win for 35 laps each nite and a $500 bonus if you can win both nites ($250 to the highest finisher if you don’t sweep). Best money per lap ANY track has put up all year. Yoho and Co. don’t post on here, so nobody knew. They drew only 12 cars and the stands were empty! Citrus had a 75 lapper that paid $1200 to win. Rick B. and Co. posted all over here multiple times and guess what? 22 Sportsman and a packed grandstand. That’s what KARNAC can do. There are a lot more people that come on here just to “look” than you think. Look at the post numbers. KARNAC works, period.
Another example… Bubbas is having the NeSmith Crate Lates this weekend with a reported ‘over 40 cars already checked in’, but not a WORD listed here.
I found out on Facebook… not from Bubba Raceway Park, but from the NeSmith Series themselves. The series is doing THIER part to promote, but no help from the track itself.
If its empty this weekend, they’ve got nobody to blame but themselves.
Don and I have disagreed plenty over the years, but this time we are on the same page. If I had or promoted a track I would stay as far away from here as possible.
They say “one bad apple spoils the bunch”, well what about dozens of Keyboard Cowboys airing everyone else’s dirty laundry on here? You think a single unbiased new “fan” would stumble across this page and come away with an overall positive outlook on Florida Racing?
If I had to make a list of pros and cons from “back in the day” and now, message boards (not just karnac) would be on the Con list. They’re great when used for positive information, but far too many personal attacks on drivers, crew members, officials and owners. We don’t get involved with this “hobby” anticipating on dealing with that crap…
People who contribute ZERO to this sport come on here and spoil it for everyone else that does. I’d say most don’t even buy tickets anymore (you know who you are) they come on here, read the results and/or car counts and fire away. Talking about what they “heard” happened…
I know good people that have left the sport, “Because there’s no one at the docks or on their computers blasting me about not catching enough fish that day.”

Bubba has his own radio show and promotes the hell out of his track… between the ‘other stuff’ he does which draws the listeners… Seems like every other minute he says what is going on this weekend, or what happened last weekend. Can’t compete with that, not even KARNAC.

This place is a double-edged sword. For all the BS, rumors, lies and attacks that go on, there is still useful and timely information. Believe it or not, I’ve made some excellent friends here too.
If I ran a track I would utilize the reach of this site. No question about it.

Ditto, Boneman, Ditto. I too meet people every time I pull into any pit area that either read what I post or converse back and forth with me here. All have been good people. Jerry (Frasson118) maybe an opinionated S.O.B., (I mean that in a nice way) but I’ll tell you what, he is probably the most dedicated race fan in the state of Florida. He goes to the races just about every weekend. We need about 4000 more like him and it WILL be the “good ole days”. Besides, the “BS, rumors, lies and attacks”, well I hate to say it, but a lot of it IS warranted. The last 2 years in FL asphalt racing hasn’t been very pretty. And where else would you get to give your 2 cents? “Freedom of Speech”, our forefathers crafted it and our soldiers die for it. It’s one of those things that is uniquely American. Having a thick skin is too. Mike B, would it really bother you if a faceless coward who hides behind a ficticious screen name threw pot shots at you on here? People can see the idiots for who they are. Most people aren’t dumb.
Both Jerry and Don are GREAT race people. Yes PEOPLE say Don did a bunch to hurt racing i say he tried. SOMETHINGS work some don’t and it’s a lot easy to bitch and write B.S. on here when your on the other side of the fence. That said Big Fans like Jerry Have a big part in letting the good and bad that goes on he has a lot of good things to say and is not just a trash talker. THANKS TO BOTH and Don it’s ok to drink beer:ernaehrung004:.CRASH A RAMA series NOVEMBER 29 7:30 ORLANDO SPEEDWORLD
