Just got word that Richard Bowser will be bringing this #67 Coupe… which was the last one ever on Long Island. It’s former owner Bob Krollage is also bringing his Coupe from Long Island.
Dave Kelly was the last winner at the famed Reading Fairgrounds in PA. before it was bulldozed to build a mall.
Afterwards, he switched to Sprint cars and won several URC Championships, and I believe he is in the Sprint Car Hall of Fame at Knoxville Raceway.

I saw on the 3W site , that Paul “Sandy” Rochelle is having some medical problems, I sincerely hope he gets well in time to come down here, he is a real old friend. That #16 car was owned by Bob Smith, I believe of Whippany, N.J., saw it run a lot at the old Nazareth 1/2 mile track.
Jack… Sandy is already in Florida, somewhere on the southern Gulf coast. He and Ronnie Dunstan, who also lives in that area, and still very good friends.
Thanks on the Bob Smith correction. I wasn’t positive it was a Sesely car, but drew a blank on who ELSE it would be.
I love learning something new… even if its 35 years old…!
To say that Bob Garbarino has been a car owner for a long time would be an understatement. Here’s one of his earliest cars, and his latest will be entered at Daytona this year with Donnie Lia driving. A TON of the biggest names in Modifieds have driven for Bob at one time or another.

Transplanted Canadian, Terry St. Amand will be making his first visit.

Sonny O’Sullivan is a lifelong racer. He still has a Sprint car he breaks out a few times a year.
Interesting thing about this photo… Sonny is driving this car, owned by Ben Dodge, photo taken by Crystal Snape. All THREE will be at NSS that day.
Rick “Fireball” McGuire was at NSS recently with his Late Model. This time he’s coming as a fan and the chance the expose his kids to examples of where this sport came from.
Here’s a shot of his Dirt Mod.
Once again, Danny Casteel will make the long haul down here from Johnson Tenn. with his 41. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Danny NOT smiling at the Reunions.
Mike Herman Jr. gets involved in everything in racing. Crew Chief, advisor, driving coach, Hooters Cup & Late Model competitor… and even a MODIFIED.
He’ll be down from NC that week and will attend.

Former Lancaster NY regular, now Ocala resident Jerry Mathis is coming again this year. You’ll still see him in the pits whenever the Sprint cars are around, as the Crew Chief for daughter Wendy Mathis. Missed him at OSW last month, but he was there.

Pretty proud of this stat… in just 7 days, and with almost 6 weeks to go, we are already up to 30 drivers, and 12 Vintage cars. There’s a few entered that I’m still searching for photo’s.
And I’m just getting started. I think the Vintage will break 25, and the drivers should be well over 100.
Jimmy Wilkins ran this car up in MASS in the late 80’s. His son Jimmy Jr races a Florida Mod locally. Saw him at Auburndale in '13.
Richard Pastor will haul this Dirt-style Mod all the way from Fredericksbug MD to be part of the show.
Treasure Coast area racer Doc McKinney has been around for a while, and family involvement goes even further back. The McKinney family has been involved with Modifieds for over 50 years.
Doc himself has done quite a bit, with seat time in a Hooters Cup car, a LM, and his current Fla Mod.
Good to see him coming…
Ronnie Dunston
I used to see Ron running at Flemington, he did very well in Midgets.
I remember this car from '74 in Trenton NJ. The one & only time I witnessed the career of Don Stives. His teammate this day was Will Cagle in identically painted Gremlin.
Until more recent years, I didn’t realize how good Don really was. He won tons of races, dirt & asphalt, driving for some of the top owners of the day.
Don & his wife Sue have been to nearly all the Reunions, and have really become some of my favorite racing people. I even saw them at a Florida Reunion that was held at Columbia MSP… where they had a couple of junked out racecars inside of turn 3. Now, one of those cars has a case of empty beer bottles, thanks to the Stives & myself…!

Sandy Rochelle
FYI, Sandy Rochelle was the URC Sprint car Champion in 1979.
