I guess there’s a new promoter helping out- LeRoy Davidson from the old Charlotte County Speedway.
They’re having a SLM race on the 13th. It’ll be fun to see the SLM’s at Bronson again.

I can understand the reluctance to support this place because of the past actions of the current owners- and I appreciate the comments and opinions offered by ScottGarrity07, Frasson118, Williston19, and others. But maybe she has learned from the past and with the new promoter things are turning around.
It sounds like they had a nice turn out of cars last weekend and looks like a good commitment of cars for this weekends SLM race. One thing I notice is that they are trying to get the local business involved as sponsors which is something that all tracks need to do. Also promoting the place as a “grass roots”, hometown, family entertainment venue.
The new promoter says he is open to every ones thoughts and ideas- I won’t post all the things they got going on but if you’re interested you can read them here; https://www.facebook.com/bronson.speedway and maybe consider giving the old “Bullring” another chance.
It’s good they have an experienced promoter helping out. Bronson is a viable race track, it just needs to be open on a consistent basis so the racers and the fans can get used to coming out there every week.
They also posted that three generations of Andersons will be racing against each other so that alone would be a show. I’m not personally a fan of theirs but that peaked even my interest!
Yes you heard correct Tricky Dickie Anderson will be racing.
When I was at Waynes’ shop yesterday he has 5 SLMs there. Ricky,Randy,Wayne, and Dickie driving and I believe Moxley driving the 5th…
Should be one hell of a race for Bronson and the fans…
-JIM-
I will be there but I think a date that all the cars and drivers could be there would have been a lot better.
Desoto is running the same night and im sure there must be a date open in the sq ware all the fans and cars could be there for this great event.
To late now and I would not miss thes for anything.
I just hope my friends don’t take offence to me not making other cometments that I had.
See ya all there.

I just read a comment on their facebook page that suggests Jesse Dutilly may be there also. I believe he can give the Anderson clan some competition.
oh yeah they are also saying Dave Pletcher might be running too…
I just got home from Bronson practice. 7 SLMs from the Anderson shop. Dick Anderson has a really sharp Mustang, and it is quick!!
-JIM-
Jim thanks for the update- were the Anderson cars the only ones there?
after seeing the points at Desoto I doubt Dutilly will be at Bronson tomorrow but I’m hoping they get a nice turnout.
Super Lates back at Bronson… gonna feel like old times!
I wasn’t able to go back today so I didn’t think to post it on here- not that I have any official association with the track LoL
I was pretty bummed as it was shaping up to be a good show- 11 SLM’s and a good field of support class cars.
I wish they would’ve had the make up on a Sat. night as I live 2+ hours away and don’t get home from church until 12:30…oh well SSS at 5 Flags this coming Friday
I don’t get the whole facebook only thing either. Why would you not have a working website with a schedule, updates, and results?
Seems like most every other paved track in the state comes on to this forum and at least gives event info and results.
I would think with a rain out and running this afternoon they would want people to know- heck it might of even brought in some more cars!
btw- I already don’t understand why they chose to run it on a Sunday in this weather to begin with…
