Thanks, I led 35 of the 37 laps that we raced. Coming to the checkered the caution came out…which usually means race over…he got me on the outside on the restart…

You need to bring that thing over to New Smyrna and show 'em how it’s done Devin! Did you ever run your Mini-Cup there when they ran NSS? Them things were downright scary on the half-mile…

We were DQed because they saw Jefferson adjusting his during qualifying. They pulled his adjuster just before the race and sent him to the back. When we came into tech Jefferson is calling for DJ’s car to be checked. The trackbar adjuster had been moved out of his reach and the knob was behind his seat. The knob was from a test we had 3 month ago. We moved the bar adjuster back and away from him after a pretech at NSS, we had NSS check the location after we moved it and they saw DJ could not reach it. Last Saturday night we were told that just having it in the car is why we were DQed, even though we showed them he could not reach it to adjust.

Remember this is Jefferson old car and he knew the old adjuster could be reached he did not realize that we had move it already. So just because he got caught he had to make a stink about something he knew nothing about. We were not the one that got caught adjusting the trackbar.

In 35 years of racing we have never been DQed, we race clean and our car is legal and we welcome any inspection.

All I will say is that we all know we cant have adjustments in the car except for the brakes…And I will add that tech needs to step it up. I for one don’t like being beat by cheating shit. Wake up tech!!!

Dave, We’re really hoping that some things come together this year where we can get back over there and race…hopefully in more than a modified. As it is right now, we don’t quite have enough ponies under the hood to compete for the win.

I wasn’t in the Mini-Cups at that point. By the time I got in them they no longer raced over there…plus, with me being 11-12 years old, my Dad wasn’t having any of that. Those little cars and that big track weren’t nothing to play with. To date my worst wreck has been in a Mini-Cup at Ocala, going much slower than they went at NSS…I’m glad for my old mans judgment on that one.
