Sunshine State Challenge Series back to 3 tracks in 2018

June 13, 2017

The Sunshine State Challenge Series announces 2018 will once again be a trio of Florida race tracks that have joined forces. Sunshine State Challenge Series Officials met with Ozzy Moya of Orlando Speed World for eight Saturday events. Auburndale Speedway, 417 Southern Speedway and Orlando Speed World will play host to 12 series races for each division in 2018.

Officials at the three Florida tracks will still have a universal rulebook that will be used for Super Late Models, Sportsman, Open-Wheel Modified, Pro Trucks and other divisions as well. We will also be doing our best to work with other tracks in the area on scheduling to try and not run divisions against each other on Saturday nights for those willing to do so.

?We have been working on this since for some time and still believe that this will be good for Central Florida racing. This is what the racers say they want so this will be their time to come out and show support to three promoters for listening and putting this deal together. The racers support will be the key to making this a success and taking this to the next level. Sunoco Racing Fuels and American Racer Tire are excited and will be back to sponsor the series for the 2018 season,? said Ricky Brooks, Series Director for the Sunshine State Challenge Series.

The series will host four races for each division at each of the three tracks for a total of 12 races. Several of the divisions are paired up to create doubleheaders on the 2018 schedule.

The details and full schedules for all divisions will be out at a later date.

Wow, Speedworld back ? I’d given up on anything close anymore. Thanks Ricky
