I was very, very impressed. There were a few question marks (mystery caution??), but overall, imo, a great event.

I thought it was reasonably entertaining. With only 12 cars, the feature should be 50 laps instead of 100. What I liked the most is the intention of putting on a 2 hour show, although the race did go over their allotted time. The future of most racing, whether local or national is probably going to be a 3 hour window. Although local southern dirt racing seems to be the exception, with shows dragging well past midnite, their fans don’t seem to mind.
I watched it.Im not 100 percent sold on it but I plan on watching tomorrow night’s event from Knoxville.Theyve already decided to cut the Main down to 50 laps from last week’s 100 laps.They are fine tuning it as it rolls along which is understandable.It would be my hopes that at some point they would run an Australian Pursuit race or something of that kind.Pursuit races aren’t standard fare at blacktop tracks much anymore but they were at one time.And quite a few dirt tracks still run a pursuit race.Maybe they will give it a shot sometime but I’m not holding my breath.Im not a big fan of the Superbird/Daytona rear wing.If they were to have a wing I think it should be like a roof mounted Sprint Car wing IMO.Time will tell how it grows as a series but for now I guess they’re generally happy about the fan support and feedback.
