How is this for ironic? The Citrus County Speedway scoreboard has been out of order for some time. Last week, the track happily announced that it was repaired and working again.
Three days later, it was race day, and half way through the night a throttle hung on a pure stock going into turn 3. Naturally, the car punched a hole in the wall, flew up and over the wall, and mangled most of the scoreboard on its way to the parking lot. Damn!
Disclaimers. The only reason this is funny is because the driver involved was not injured. Also, I hate to see the track have another unexpected expense, but come on…
