SS Performance Enterprise Press Release 09/29/2007

09/29/2007 East Bay Raceway, Tampa, FL
SS Performance Enterprise took there crate engine late model to “The Clay by the Bay” this past weekend in a rare appearance at there local track. With the car ready for there heat race the team checked the line up to find they were starting the heats in there usual position, last. With the drop of the green Shan made his move and started passing cars. Several cautions placed cars back in front of him and when the green would fall again he would have to re pass them. When the checkered flag fell he was solidly in the A-main. As the track ran the other classes the tracks condition for the feature was more in doubt as the wind and weather conditions were fighting the track prep crews.
The team waited until the last minute and made changes to the car and decided what tires to run and lined up for the feature. Due to East Bays line up procedure of cumulative points total for the feature lineup Shan would find himself starting the A-main 21st, behind the cars that transferred from the B-main. Again at the drop of the green Shan moved forward in position until several cautions would move cars that he just passes back in front of him and set up a re-pass of them when the race would continue. As laps wound down Shan worked clear of the second pack of cars and moved in on the leaders. On the last lap Shan made a BOLD move to the outside coming out of turn 4 to make a pass for a top 5 finish.
This adds to the teams impressive 2007 statistics.
7 Feature wins
27 top 10 finishes
17 top 5 finishes and an average of a 6th place finish out of 31 races on tracks all over the south eastern USA. SS Performance Enterprise would like to thank they families and sponsors: Seckman Fire Sprinklers, Fram, Autolite and First Alarm Pressure Washing.

I was watching his progress through the field, and thought he did a very good job.

I had no clue though, that he has a Crate Motor in there. You coulnd’t tell by the performance!
