Dalton Zehr, the Sixteen year old ASA racer from Port Orange, Fl participating in his first road course event, reportedly set a new track record for the Shelby Can Am cars on the 3.54 mile Rolex 24 course at Daytona International. Dalton had a fast lap of 2.04 during the Sunday afternoon sprint race. Rumor has it that Dalton may soon be seen in a road race stock car, gaining valuable experience on high speed tracks.
