SuperCup Stock Car Series formed

It is with great excitement that we announce the formation of the highly anticipated SuperCup Stock Car Series (SCSCS). This series will feature former Hooter?s ProCup Steel bodied stock cars that competed from 2001-2006. The new series recently competed in two exhibition races in 2007 at both Hickory Motor Speedway and Tri-County Motor Speedway in NC. Both races were very competitive and featured a glimpse of the anticipated competition in 2008.
The series will compete throughout the Eastern US, with races planned in South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, and Ohio. These races will feature 100 laps of racing. Competitors should expect a tentative 10 race schedule to be released by December 4th at the annual Performance Racing Industry Trade Show (PRI) in Orlando and more detailed information of the series will be available at that time. Please stop by the booth for more information on the series. In addition, officials are currently working to provide a detailed rule book for the upcoming season. Registration for owners and drivers is scheduled for December 15th. Prior to PRI our new website www.SuperCupstockcarseries.com should be online. Be sure to check into to the website frequently as information is available.
This new series is in no way affiliated with Hooter?s ProCup or the United Speed Alliance Racing Series (USAR). SCSCS was formed by several individuals interested in providing racers with an affordable alternative to race cars that are no longer legal to compete in USAR or Busch.
SCSCS will be managed by a five member Auxiliary board. The board consists of Joe Schmaling, Michael Kurkowski, Lonnie Rush Sr., Mart Nesbitt, and Joe Harrison Sr. The board has appointed Joe Schmaling as Director of Competition. He can be reached at thewhizscooters@bellsouth.net for additional questions and information about the series.
We look forward to working will all competitors, sponsors, and promoters to make 2008 an exciting racing season.
