Here’s a picture of Steve Wallace’s #66 after he hit the fence in the pit area at Daytona today. Sure is a good thing there wasn’t someone walking in front of him. You can read the story on Jayski.com
Somewhere a village is missing it’s idiot…
How the heck did he do that? Guess he got Bumped or cut-off!! In ARCA he hit everything but the pace car.
Georgep, without everyone on the I20 forum to hack with now you gonna harass the floridians now? LOL

[I]"I had been out there drafting all day long and we went to do a qualifying run, and like everybody knows, you pull the brakes back for qualifying [pulling the brake pads away from the rotors to keep from losing momentum via friction].
"It usually takes four or five pumps on the [brake] pedal to build the pedal back up so the car can stop, and I just honestly forgot the damned brakes were pulled back, I went around the corner a little fast and went to hit the brakes – the pedal went to the floor and there was nothing I could do about it.
“I hate it and I’m sorry about the gate, but it’s just an honest mistake by me. Like I told my dad, it’s the same as if you run up to your driveway going about 30 miles an hour, you go to put your brakes on and there’s nothing there. You run your mailbox over – it’s the same type of deal.”[/I]
straight from the horse’s @$$3$ mouth. funny thing is, he makes it sound like he’s already run over the mailbox before. :grinser010:
i like how every year Wallace averages a worse finish than what he started. a lot of promise here, dontcha think?

Sorry about the gate? Screw the gate. How about apologizing to the crew for crimping a perfectly good racecar.
I belive in spreading the WORD
My other house is in Orange Park and I probably worked at most of the tracks in Florida when we where working with the FMSA. Heck, went through St Augustine from dirt to pavement and VCS Dirt_Pavement_Dirt. See why I20 is so interesting!!
You don’t know how happy this makes me right now. Another example of some dickbag, with far more money than brains, proving himself to be the complete jackass that he is.
“Sorry 'bout the fence”… “Kinda like when ya’ hit the mailbox”.
His real calling might be a Crash-A-Rama with Moe, Demo Ray, and Chuck Rush.
Maybe the crew will let him fix it by himself.
Sassy Frassy…
dickbag? jackass? hope you never start hating me… lol :anim_buttkick:
OZ
How fast was the lil’ punk going to hit a fence and push the grille all the way back to the freakin’ A-frames…??
Guess Daddy’s lil’ boy ain’t learnt a thing ‘bout tearin’ stuff up…
I heard from someone who was there, that the napcar officials told the rollback driver to wait for the officials to get there. Once the officials got there they took planty of pictures…Also what Steven left out of the little incident was the fact that the rolling portion of the gate went flying into the air and out onto pit road…I’m sure napcar will be sending Rusty Wallace a bill for the damage!
So did Jerry’s post get censored, deleted, self-censored or just travel into the Bermuda triangle? Just wondering after seeing Carol’s post? Must be pretty bad considering what Carol got away with.
I think they should blame the fence company for putting the gate so close to the front of his car.
Please let us not forget that in this day and age he may have had problems as a child and is just having a problem dealing with the adult part of his life.
Now I do want everyone to know, the boy does have tourette syndrome.
Good point, but he hit that fence like anybody else… Wait a minute… No one else has hit the gate before? This kid freakin’ kills me.
“RWI Looking for Top-30 Spot for #64 Car: [Rusty Wallace] is trying to engineer a deal to transfer the owner points from one of the top-30 teams from last season that disbanded for 2008 to his #64, to lock it into the first five races this season, but he wasn’t ready to announce that.(NASCAR.com)”
Nascar needs to put an end to this stuff. I said it before with Busch, Reutimann, etc. that were manipulating points in house to benefit a particular driver. Now RW is trying to take points from a team that disbanded. Oh so frustrating.
Lets see, what stupid things have i seen people do at short tracks all across the south east.
Watched someone back the car off the trailer without first putting the ramps on.
Watched some idiot go flying through the pits and hit someones kid. Luckily the kid wasnt hurt.
Watched someone burn their truck to the ground because they thought burning the trash barrel would be good source of heat.
Heck I even knew someone that forgot to put the tiedowns on and the car came off the trailer while they were getting on the interstate.
We all do stupid things, some just more blatently than others. Give him some slack and just be thankful no one was hurt.
Maybe he had his helmet on backwards.
