To my awesome loving racing family!

There are no words that i can say to thank you all for your messages of love and prayers. ive often wondered if the little things i try to do to make people love racing are appreciated. i will never wonder again because your phone calls, flowers, messages have told me i am loved! there is no greater feeling.

i started out with a flu and it went into viral pneumonia. well to my surprise it didnt end there. they monitored every inch of this collosal body and things arent great. i have a long hard road ahead and frankly im a little frightened. it seems when im sleeping, i die! lol well actually my heart stops and in my case it is for quite awhile. so i have to go to an overnight clinic and sleep- with a goofy mask and a million probes. now how in the heck do they think i can sleep while they are watching me with this stuff all over me? well i guess i better try.

it doesnt end there. i have to go for several heart tests. but you know me. im tough! i will give it my best shot.

i am home tonight and scared to death to go to sleep. hahaha:smilie_bett:
well not afraid to sleep but afraid to not wake up! so please my dearest friends…please keep me in your prayers so i can see bobby and hailey graduate!

i have one complaint! ANGES!!! i waited all night you baboon. ya made me miss the race!

Linda… you are and always will be a very dear friend. thank you for posting and making this all possible. the calls meant so so much !!!

Im getting tired now so im off to sleep… thank you all from the bottom of my heart. sometimes the little things in life mean the most. i love you all dearly and i think you already know that.

God bless all of you for making a tired sick old lady feel good!!!
my undying love,

I GOT MY LICENSE PLATE… it is the new NASCAR plate and it says IM OZ…

One more message…to Jason Boyd… Jason you have been in my thoughts and prayers. your father was such a sweet kind loving man. i will miss him dearly and i would have tried to be there for you. im so sorry…

ooops, one more thing… please keep the Dan Benoit family in your most sincere prayers. Dan has been battling cancer and he is very ill. pray that he doesnt suffer and pray that his wife and sons will stay strong. Dan races a Road Warrior at CCMP… the #20… thank you !!

over and out…

i think!:engel016:

Hey Carol,
Good to see you back and I’m glad to hear you’re home. I’ve been to the so called sleep clinics a couple times and I found it nearly impossible to sleep but the people monitoring me said I did. If you are one of the many people that suffer from sleep apnea they can definitely help you. Give it a try and you may end up sleeping with one of those funny little masks on. But at least you’ll be able to breath. Good luck and keep us updated.

Carol, I am glad to hear you are back home. We have been praying for you. Take care and get well soon. Call me anytime.

not such a good morning.

i think i will be back to a dr. today. feeling queezy and light headed. slept ok (i think) but feel exhausted. confused about all the pills… trying to come down off the dang steroids they had me on… now im a junky too… lol
the first thing i am doing is taking a long long shower.
love u phil! you are a great friend!
talk soon…

Carol,

Danny has the same sleep problem, my oldest son, and he does have the machine you use at night to help with the stop breathing which is really bad. I have been with him when he has done that and it is very scary for him and me but the machine did help. He never got a good night’s sleep which affects your life alot but this has helped. He went thru a couple of masks before they found one that he could use and not bother him but it can and does help. So don’t worry about that part.

Hopefully you will feel better and better soon but remember, you are the important one and you come first, everything else comes second. I have my second cataract surgery tomorrow and hopefully it will go as well as the first. I want to go to the opening at Columbia but it depends on how much the light bothers my eye since it did last time. But if I can’t go, everyone understands and they will understand when you have to take it easy for awhile also and take care of you.

Let me know if you need anything.

Jane

They had more security at that hospital then a Tony Stewart autograph session! Anyway take care and take your time, don’t be a hard head and listen to the doc’s.

Good day sweet heart!

Hey Carol, good to see you out of the hospital. I have you installed on my prayer list and I’ll leave you there till you tell me different. Just do what the doctors say. Remember the doctor knows best, at least thats what I keep telling myself. I wish you could be at Ocala with us this Friday. Thats going to be a great show. When I get it edited I’ll send you a video of it. I tryed our in-car camera in Ross Chastains car last Sat and it looked good. Now I just have to learn how best to use the footage. If you want, give me a call, I don’t have your home number. 941-737-5857. We can chat a little. Luv ya Carol. Get well fast. Bob…

Carol, we are and will continue to pray and we have you on our prayer list that goes all over the country. If we can do ANYTHING please call. Hope to see you soon. Don’t forget the doctor has the needles so you better be good. Be safe and God Bless. Chaplain Bill and Erika

Carol, I will be keeping you on my prayer list and hope you feel better soon!
