New Smyrna Speedway Revving Up For The 2008 Season Opener!
With the season set to open on Saturday March 15th, New Smyrna Speedway kicks into action Sunday March 9th with open practice for all divisions. The pit gate will open at 12 Noon with practice set to run from 1-5. The cost is $5 per person or $20 for car and three(3). So make plans to joins us this Sunday for the first practice of 2008.
NOTICE TO ALL PARENTS OF PARTICIPANTS UNDER THE AGE OF 18
The minimum age to race or practice at New Smyrna Speedway and Orlando SpeedWorld is 14 years old. This also applies to all Touring Series that plan to run at these tracks. All drivers under the age of 18 are required to have an MCNA policy in effect, prior to their first visit at either track for practice or a race. In addition to the insurance, a Parental Consent, Release and Waiver from Both Parents of Minor Child to be Allowed to Race signed by both parents in the presence of a Notary and witnesses is required. All Minors are also required to be FASCAR members. The penalty for any driver or car owner who allows a minor to drive their car without ALL insurance requirements being met will be a one year suspension from racing at any FASCAR track or FASCAR sanctioned event and loss of ALL points and money for the current season. These penalties will apply to the minor driver as well.
