At the beginning of the 80s goth movement you had the usual spectrum of bands from the really underground credible bands like Bauhaus, through the slightly edgy but commercially successful bands like The Cure, The Mission or Fields Of The Nephilm, and then right across to totally commercial stuff like All About Eve. Basically anyone who played jangly, heavily chorused guitars, had band members with teased long black hair, and who predominantly wore skin-tight black jeans and paisley could jump on the goth bandwagon.
As a side note, around this time the drummer in the band I played in went through a goth phase, which manifested itself in him buying himself a hat and trenchcoat, and liberally covering himself in flour before he went out…
OK… Now for those really interesting artists… This artist really knows how to stir things up with his terminology… Make sure you listen to the entire song…
Some of the language in this song may offend some of the folks here… So be careful and make sure the kids are not listening when this is being played…
The above message was posted by a look alike imitation alter ego that figured OSF and Jim would have fun with this song by DAC… Yuppers… Need to get that alter ego type guy outta here…
