I am going to try to reach out to you guys one more time

I am trying to start my own race team and unfortunatly the economy has kicked 99% of us in the rear! I am tryin to build my race team through $5 donations or more. my team will be a non profit race team. once a month I plan on holding a coloring contest for kids between 3 years and 8 years old. each month i will go paint the car of the winners coloring. the child will choose a charity for extra donations and 3/4th of my race earnings to go to. the 1/4 of my earnings will go toward the car. If you would like to be a sponsor for the 2011 season head over to www.miketaylorracing.webs.com to help out! and if you donate the most you will get ur name or your business name on the hood.

I would try putting a brochure together for potential sponsors and visit them in person vs. a website. Be sure to include how much each section of the car would cost per year/race etc, and what they will get in return for their investment. I would also go to your local parts store like NAPA or Advance Auto and ask them for help, such as oil and filters and have them set you up a commercial account to save money on the things you have to buy. As an entry level racer, I would state that and don’t make any promises you cant keep.Just showing up when you say will is priority #1.We have raised money for different charities but it was a totally seperate deal from the car. The more you can get a sponsors name out there the better. The other thing I would look at is what is it going to cost you per week to go racing? Tires, gate fees, fuel in the tow vehicle and car. No matter what you race its going to cost you 50-75 a week BEFORE it hits the track and you bend it up. The last thing you want to do is not be able to run the car because you can’t afford to go.Good luck with your venture.

Thank you sir for the insight! I am very thankful for someone like you to come forward and help me out. I will see what i can get together. Thank you so much!
