Patrick, the car looked pretty cool and was fast.
Now, what happened in tech???
Well it goes like this, I had the Fascar replacement legal valve springs, and I didn’t check to see if they would be legal at citrus, Great job on the thourough Tech. This is why Citrus is the place too race if you want fair, unbiased, big car count racing. When there were any question’s on if you were right or wrong they, they had somebody there that could make the call. I will be back to finish what I started.

You guys busted butt all night to get that car in the race with the gear issue, sorry to hear about tech. It was fun watching you on track come from the back to front.
Hopefully thats the last time we’ll see a cone restart in sportsman I think it created a lot of confusion for everyone involved.
Look forward to watching you race during the next one Pat. Maybe we can talk Dennis into getting back in a car
I would like to thank everybody that thrashed from 3:30 right up till race time, just to make it out there to start last. I borrowed stuff from 6 different sportsman teams, including a gear that I destroyed in 3 laps from Patrick Menninga, we never figured out what was going wrong, but Dennis Hemmelberger came to my rescue and built a gear on my open trailer and got me out there in time for the race.
I did however find out the prototype body is far too fragile, to start in the rear of the field, with that many good car’s. We may be scrapping the whole body experiment due too the time it takes to fix the four corners of Damage.

Come on, keep the body. You may just want to put an extra bolt on bar or two just for Citrus!
It was a good run dude. I walked over to tech to speak w/ you but you guys were busy. Catch you next time.
How about a picture…
Here is a picture from a few weeks ago. Not sure if he actually got around to putting numbers on it or not.
Very cool to see some innovative thinking for a change. Tired of looking at ABC bodies, and 4 classes of beat-up Monte Carlo’s.
PLEASE, somebody revive the old Southern Sportsman Series… that was some of the most fun racing I’ve seen in years. Cool cars, inverted fields, double-file restarts. Very FAN friendly, and a ton of variety in the body styles.
what a great looking car
That is cool
That is super cool!
awesome hope it runs as good as it looks.
That front looks like an OWM with fenders…Neat lookin’:huepfen024:

I like the fact that the bumpers are out and are ready to nerf, BUT you don’t run the risk of pulling out because of damaged bodywork. This will save time and effort during the week, and possibly keep more cars on the track during the race.
The reason I did the nose this way is because I am on a VERY limited budget now. The nose and fenders and hood only cost me 2 sheets of aluminum, about $140.00 bucks plus the 6 or so hours of building. If I would have done the ABC noseand fenders and hood it would have cost me $475.00 dollars.
I like my cars to look alittle different, plus who doesn’t like to use a bumper every now and then. I will change a couple things and try it again, modify the bumpers too be a little tougher and too protect the front fenders even more.
I really don’t think the thing looks all that great, but I can see where it could work very effectively.

Patrick, I heard you toasted two rear ends. How much gear oil are you running in them?
3 quarts of Mobile one synthetic. The first one was a bad a setup by me, the second was a borrowed gear, OUCH, the third seems to be fine, I used the prerace warmup to break it in, it was a brand new gear.
That’s an awesome looking car right there!
Dave give me a call I might need some gears setup, to try and eliminate this happening again.
Thanks Patrick Thomas 25
