Steve Dorer picked up win #3 for 2012 on The FUP Series last night @ The Dale. Raining conditions gave way about 2pm and the track crew when to work getting the track ready for a great night of racing. The FUP Series had 19 SLM take the green, Patrick Starpoli of Ft. Lauderdale finished 2nd, Joe Winchell in his 1st start with FUPS came home 3rd, Kevin Macy & Jonathan Guy completed the top five.

Just would like to know what would happen to me if i did what rex guy did last night WOW!!!
Yep… that was wild, confusing, and sure pissed off Anthony Campi. He won’t be back anytime soon.
That place really needs to get it’s act together with the on-track proceedures. Nobody seems to know what anyone else is doing.
What did Rex do now?
Did not like a call by the officials so acted a fool went down onto track raising hell with official then went up to the scoring tower raising hell with them, :fragend005:I do have to say he got his way maybe every time some1 doesnt like a call they should do the same!!!:fragend005:
what is up with that “guy”
that “guy” really showed his ass again, the list is long, for drivers getting screwed at his race track,(anderson, schofield, russell, campi…ect). you have to wonder if his son racing there has anything to do with it…lol, thank god sunshine is opened again.A-dale is going down the tubes, but at least everyone from polk county can drive a short distance to sunshine now!!!
Congrats
Good to hear that Steve Dorer won, that guy is a class act.
As far as the other deal, it sounds a lot like what happened with the FAST series when they were there. However, I was not there last night so that is just my opinion.
whats up with that guy
what did i miss last night i hope campi dont leave we love the tee shirts he give away at the racers .
all i heard he passed duddilo i little faster , and he got pissed and tied to take him ( campi ) . and messed that up . he should have done the cross over again
The way I saw it was:
Campi puts the bump and run on Jesse Dutilly in turns 1&2. Jesse returns it in 3&4… but this time they are leaning on and bouncing off each other. Neither one spun, but Joe Winchell got caught up in their mess, and did spin.
I believe the original call was to put Campi and Winchell back in their spots, and Dutilly to the rear. Looked to me like Jesse didn’t agree with that call and didn’t want to go to the back (after all, he never spun). After a BUNCH of screwing around with nobody making a firm decision, Rex had enough of the indecision and made one himself… which to put both Campi and Dutilly to the back, and Winchell back to about 4th. Campi parked it instead.
I think Rex felt that Anthony started it, Jesse continued it, and Joe Winchell had to pay for it.
The fans weren’t sure of the right thing to do, but a LOT of us cheered when Rex decided to do SOMETHING. The show was being ruined in those 5 minutes, and someone needed to get it back going.
Personally, I don’t think the decision was right, and hind-sight is always 20/20, but I do respect that he did SOMETHING while everyone else appeRed to be doing nothing.
this “guy” is crazy
the crazy “guy” is not supposed to make calls, when his kid is in ther race, period, the place is a circus, and a joke of a race track. period.
Wrong…they did have a decision but the cars would not stop to get into the line up they all wanted the same spot.
In that case put them all to the rear! Right or wrong make a decision and go with it. If they don’t go to their spots black flag them! :huepfen024:
You are right Rex should not be making the calls. The series should.
The fans where I was sitting were not cheering for Rex. He had no business on the track demanding anything because it affected position on the 42 car. It was time for him to be in the pits with his car not strong arming the officials. The list of quality cars refusing to return to Adale is getting longer.
Yep runnin all the good cars off.Webster got a flat came to pits to get a tire ,they made sure he wasnt comin back, went green on the next lap.after waiting 3or4 laps on others to get a tire.like they say thats racin at A hole.
Who else did they wait for? I can’t think of ANY, let alone 3-4.
I think you might be either confused or mis-lead on how that went down. Granted, it doesn’t sound from Daniels own words that he might not have been real happy with the way things happened for him either.
On another note, until tonight i had no idea that winner, Steve Dorer, ran very respectably (but spun out of 4th place with like 5 to go) up in Kalamazoo Michigan on Wednesday night. Just 3 days later, and 1000 miles apart, he wins at A-Dale.
Gotta love a traveller…!!!
breaking NEWS : THE RACE DIRECTOR MAKE THE CALL ???
THAN HE SHOULD BE FIRED JUST SEEMS THE CALL IS ALWAYS SOME ONE ELSE
WERE IS DON NERONE HE WOULD HAVE HAD THAT RIGHT IN 2 SECONDS AND A GOOD REASON WHY
your right guess they didnt wait on anyone else.not even a lap . And I take it you agree with how it went down?all I know is they run off more good cars.Spend a 1000.00 to support them only to get the shaft .you go support them, but I know others who wont be. But I guess Im confused. To many other places to go race with no confusion. Thanks for setting me straight. Its a great place to follow the leader.
Rick… to save you the trouble of looking back a few posts, I will re-quote what I said earlier… “Personally, I don’t think it was the right decision”. It doesn’t get any clearer on where I stand.
My point was that you are trying to use examples of favoritism towards other drivers, that simply didn’t exist. I don’t recall any driver, other than Daniel Webster, pulling off with a flat tire, and I don’t recall ANY drivers rejoining the field once they pulled off.
I don’t know how the situation with the 33 was handled, but I do know that your reasoning is flawed.

Maybe the delay was because the race director was asking other officials for their opinion, which is what you do when you have a call that is not clear or you as the race director did not see, or.
The Race Director was not experienced in this situation enough to make a decision, or.
Rex was on the radio arguing with the decision that was already made.
I would put my money on Rex interfering.
Sounds like the FAST race all over again.
