Travis Braden topped a 20 car field in Columbus Ohio for the 1st Annual Bud St. Amant Memorial for the Jegs/CRA Super Series at Columbus Motor Speedway in Columbus Ohio saturday night August 2nd.Braden started from the pole and led the majority of the race only relinquishing the lead on a few occasions.Included in the field were Ross Kenseth,JJ Haley and the lone female entry Ali Kerns of Fremont Ohio (who tangled with then series point leader Brian Campell early in the race in an incident in turn 4 that eliminated both for the night).Kerns car was prepped (and crewchiefed?)for the event by one time CMS and NASCAR regular Gary Balough.Don Gregory and Gary St.Amant spoke on track before the event as well as Bud St. Amants widow.Gregory started things off by taking a couple honorary laps around the oval to lead the field out of the pits in a familiar purple and white #7 in memory of St.Amant.
